Tracing Public Space: El Calvario

El Calvario, El Hatillo. Venezuela. March 10, 2016

Team: Ana Vargas, Gabriela Puppio, Valeria C. Ramos, Raquel Portillo and Diana Ruiz.

On Thursday March 10th we had the first edition of our micro program, “Planting Dreams” at the Municipal School Maria May, located in the neighborhood of El Calvario in El Hatillo. We collaborated with 30 6th grade students, 17 volunteers and our fellow members of the Global Shapers of Caracas to build a plant mural made of recyclable materials and 96 plants.

The main objective of the activity was to practice the process of transforming a public space, all the while using this as a vehicle for learning important values.
